Spice Market Buffet, Planet Hollywood, Buffet Pass, Round 3!

Keep the good times and good food comin’! We are now on our third and final round of our Buffet of Buffets pass, ending our buffet journey at Spice Market Buffet, Planet Hollywood. We were an hour away from pass expiration and had had a few a hours to burn off the food we consumed earlier at Favors Buffet in Harrah’s, so we were good to go…again!

Spice Market at Planet Hollywood, which used to be Aladdin I’m told, is pretty decent. I like the fact that they have separate and labelled sections for different foods from different cultures. Mid-eastern, Mexican, Italian, Asian, and American. That way, if you’re like me and you know what you like, you can just go straight to it without having to peruse the unwanted. I pretty much skipped the Mexican and Italian stations altogether.

Now on with the food:

At this point, I only picked the yummiest food I can think of so I won’t waste myself on the less delicious stuff. I went straight for the bacon, prime rib, Mid-eastern chicken, creamy salmon wrapped lobster, fried shrimp, ham. I don’t believe I’ve had Mid-eastern food before so now I’m happy to say that I’ve nibbled at it. 🙂 Our buffet pass here also comes with free champagne. Awesome!

More variety, ranging from tacos, fajitas, pickles and cheeses, seafood and sausage rice.

Pork loins, veggies, pasta, chicken, pancakes, toast, ham and salami, none of which I touched because these looked pretty filling.

Spice Market Buffet Planet Hollywood Las Vegas NV, buffet pass, buffet of buffets pass, las vegas hotel buffet, Seafood rice, fried shrimp and fish, fettuccini pasta, crab salad, sushi, japanese food, american food, sushi rolls

Seafood rice, fried shrimp and fish, fettuccini pasta, crab salad, and sushi rolls. No real sushi here but that’s expected of buffets, anyway.

Spice Market Buffet Planet Hollywood Las Vegas NV, buffet pass, buffet of buffets pass, las vegas hotel buffet, cheesecake, pastries, danishes, bread loaves, fruit tarts, muffins

Ahh, the desserts. Lots of cheesecakes and heavy duty pastries like danishes, bread loaves, fruit tarts, and muffins. Honestly, I just wanted ice cream, my all-time favorite dessert because it…goes down easy. 😀 But, unfortunately, they only have soft serve ice cream here so I had to settle.

Spice Market Buffet Planet Hollywood Las Vegas NV, buffet pass, buffet of buffets pass, las vegas hotel buffet, cupcakes, cakes, cinnamon graham, kahlua, cinnamon spice cappuccino, lemon poppy, desserts

And apparently, they are huge on cupcakes here for some reason. Full size cupcakes. Not mini. Full size. I’m not a big fan of cupcakes, they just look cute; but I do admit they have a lot of interesting flavors, like cinnamon graham, kahlua, cinnamon spice cappuccino, lemon poppy, which almost made me want to pick one of each but, NO, I must not, if I want to live. I would’ve been more inclined to get more if they had made them smaller, like bite sized, so I can get a mini taste of each one without blowing up. Bigger isn’t always better – food, that is. 😉

Hooray! I can now proudly say: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. We set out with a serious attempt to eat at as many buffets as we can, and to our own surprise, we did three: Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace, Flavors Buffet at Harrah’s and Spice Market Buffet at Planet Hollywood. Maybe if do this again next time I might shoot for four, or five… There’s no telling just how much this hungry tummy will do next. 🙂
