I needed to find a new coffee place, something different from the usual Starbucks or It’s A Grind, and Coffee Bean is just too far from where I was. So Cafe Haus was the closest alternative. I suppose it’s “Cafe House” with “House” spelled in a European kinda way? LOL! 😛 But entering the place, you’d learn it’s more or less an Asian/Korean coffee house. Who woulda thunk?

Nice and clean coffee house, with a modern look and feel. Big plus for me. Their menu consists of various coffees, teas, smoothies, crepes, mousses, and cheesecakes, with prices ranging between $2.95 to $4.95. They also brew Coffee Bean coffee here, too.

I haven’t had an iced white mocha drink in a while (my favorite) so I went for a large size for $4.95. It wasn’t overly sweet nor was it overly bland like the white mocha drink I had at Paris Baguette in Cerritos. Though $4.95 is kind of expensive, compared to 7 Leaves; but then again, this cup has more coffee in it then what 7 Leaves would give you. (Thanks for stuffing my cup with ice, 7 Leaves.)

Anyway, I thought the mango mousse cake looked pretty so I couldn’t resist. The taste, however, was average. I stuck my spoon in it trying to break off a piece and I felt like I was trying to cut a layer of rubber tape or something. It was all stretchy and sticky. I was not wow’ed by it.

Bottom line: tried it, liked the coffee, will come back if convenient. Otherwise, on to the next coffee house adventure! 🙂
